Dunkeswell Parish Council was awarded e in February 2005, at that date Exmouth Town Council and Sidmouth Town Council were the only other Councils in east devon to have achieved this status. Dunkeswell is, at that date, also the smallest parish in Devon to hold the award, with an electorate of just 1200 people.
We are very proud of this achievement.
Following the resignation of Tracey Bell in April 2018 and the commencement of the new Clerk (Kay Smith) on 12th March 2018, the Quality Council Award ceased due to the new Clerk being unqualified.
In March 2019 Kay Smith gained her Cilca qualification & Dunkeswell Parish Council are now in the process of applying to regain Quality Status.
